Blog Journal #6

Over the past few days, I have been able to gain experience in navigating Diigo for my education technology course. I enjoyed that Diigo has an extension that can be installed on Google Chrome as it made it very easy to highlight and create sticky notes on articles and other resources. I also like that groups of people can connect on Diigo to share resources. This would be ideal for college and high school classes as it works on important annotation, communication, and collaboration skills. Overall, I enjoyed the platform and would enjoy using it in the future.      I have enjoyed my experience blogging over the past few weeks as a means of completing assignments. This standard outlines that students should be able to utilize several different types of text features to determine important information about the reading. These text features could include headings, icons, images, and electronic menus. I feel slightly prepared to teach on this topic, as I am familiar with several types of text features and feel comfortable teaching about how to navigate these features and use them to learn about the reading. I would be able to find several examples and walk the class through locating and discussing the importance of these text features.  The CPALMS standard that I chose is MA.2.AR.1.1 which is a 2nd grade math standard. This standard requires that students can solve 1 and 2-step addition and subtraction real-world problems. There are several resources for this standard, including a formative assessment where students are required to compare word problems. This involves st
